Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

Happy Valentine's Day! You know when you read, or hear something, at it just speaks to you in such a way that you find yourself thinking about when you wake up in the morning, when you are sitting at your desk at work, on your commute home, while you are cooking dinner... I love when that happens. I've had a few moments lately and coincidentally they all had to do with love, so what better day to share than a holiday dedicated to love?!

First, this sermon (select What Is the Church Part 2: People who Love). It was one of those services where I don't think I stopped nodding in agreement the whole time. Not because I was doing the great things he talked about, but instead because, SHIT-I-am-so-easily-inconvenienced-by-things and wow do I need to work on that. There was a statement somewhere along the way about how easy it is to love people when they are kind, and gracious, and wonderful. That love comes easy!! When it is inconvenient to love people, that is when we should be loving them harder. I am horrible at this, the second that somebody is late or cuts me off in traffic or does something unkind, my feisty half takes over. This sermon has been replaying in my head - reminding me over and over and over to love when it is inconvenient.

This article on what real love is - and advice on how to approach marriage. It is my favorite single article on relationships (and love) that I have ever read. There will be tears when you read this. "I found that real love is still there in the hard places. That is where it matures, and becomes more beautiful. That is where it is refined. That is where it becomes real."

And last, but not least, I'm loving this song. It's been playing in my head all week long.
